An approach to nurturing talented town teams developed by the People and Places Partnership has been showcased on a Government web site offering top tips for revitalising High Streets. Known as the ‘F-factors for success’ and aimed at helping to freshen-up town teams through a self-reflective process, the approach is highlighted as good practice as part of Government’s Great British High Street campaign.
Commenting on the Government seal of approval offered to the People and Places technique, Director Chris Wade comments, ”We are delighted that our approach to nurturing the local talent in towns has been picked-up nationally in this way. The approach offers a simple series of steps that groups can use to reflect on their development. Like all of our work the ‘F-factors’ recognise the key role of people (or folk) in shaping the future of the places where we live and work.”
It was a double honour for People and Places as its Town Centre Benchmarking process was also highlighted on the Government-backed website as an example of good practice in measuring and monitoring town centre issues.
